Subject: My companions

My companions reached Southern Colorado and ran into snow drifts in the mountains. Three passes, including Indiana and Marshall Passes are closed. Now my friends are thinking of resuming the ride from Canada to New Mexico. I wish them good luck. My injury is healing well. My wife Lion Hansa is making slow progress as is expected with Valley Fever.
Thanks for your well wishes and prayers.

Happy father's day to all fathers and greetings to all my friends, Lions and supporters. I am back in Tucson recovering from a pulled groin muscle. It will take two to six weeks to heal. My injury is nothing compared to my wife Lion Hansa Patel's unfortunate illness. She has been diagnosed with Valley Fever, a fungus one breathes in unknowingly from the soil. It then travels to the body and could be fatal. In her case it has settled in the spine and is causing unbearable pain. She spent four days in the hospital and is due for potential surgery early in July. we are all praying for her. Lion Hansa and I wish to thank you all for your support during the ride. It is all of you who kept me going, 400 miles so far. When Hansa is well the ride will continue, but not until next year.
